This page describes how the CapRateCity Chrome extension handles data. It applies only to the extension. For the website's privacy policy, see /privacy.
When you visit a supported real-estate listing page (such as listings on Zillow or Redfin), the extension reads property-related values displayed on that page — for example, listed price, listed rent if available, beds, baths, and similar public listing fields — so it can compute cap rate, cash flow, and related investment metrics directly on the page.
This reading happens entirely within your browser tab. The extension does not send listing data, page content, or your browsing activity to CapRateCity or to any third party.
The extension may store your preferences locally on your device using Chrome's built-in extension storage API. Examples of stored preferences include default expense assumptions, target cap rate thresholds, and display options. This data remains on your device and is not synced to CapRateCity servers.
The extension is designed to operate on real-estate listing pages such as those on Zillow and Redfin. Compatibility may change over time as those sites update their layouts. The extension does not run on unrelated sites.
The extension requests the minimum browser permissions required to read listing-page content on supported sites and to store your preferences locally. Permissions are described on the Chrome Web Store listing and in the extension manifest.
The extension is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any data from children.
If we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we ever change how the extension handles data in a material way, we will note the change in the extension's release notes.
