This privacy policy explains what data CapRateCity collects when you use the website (capratecity.com), our embeddable widgets, and our newsletter. The CapRateCity Chrome extension has its own policy at /extension/privacy.
CapRateCity uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-55DS807QNF) on every page of this website. Google Analytics collects standard web-analytics data such as your approximate location, browser, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and time on page. This data helps us understand which articles, calculators, and city pages are useful so we can improve them.
Google Analytics may set cookies and similar identifiers in your browser. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-onor by enabling your browser's "Do Not Track" / Global Privacy Control settings, subject to the browser's support. Google's use of analytics data is governed by their own Privacy Policy.
CapRateCity displays advertising through Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-1389036022825481). Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, and device identifiers to serve ads, measure ad performance, and to show personalized advertising based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or by visiting aboutads.info or NAI consumer opt-out. Even with personalized advertising disabled, you will still see ads — they just will not be personalized.
If you subscribe to The Numbers Letter, your email address is collected and managed by Beehiiv, which serves as our newsletter platform. Beehiiv tracks standard email-engagement data such as opens and clicks. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any newsletter email.
Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click an outbound or affiliate link, you leave CapRateCity and become subject to the destination site's privacy policy. We are not responsible for how third parties handle your data. See our affiliate disclosure for details on which links may be affiliate.
CapRateCity does not currently sell paid products or subscriptions, so we do not process payments. If we ever introduce a paid product, we will update this policy before any payment is processed and disclose the payment processor in use.
Pages on CapRateCity may include embedded content from third parties (for example, fonts from Google Fonts, video players, or social embeds). Embedded content behaves as if you visited the third-party site directly and may collect data, use cookies, and apply its own privacy policy.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (EU), CCPA/CPRA (California), or other privacy laws — including the right to access, delete, or correct personal data we hold about you, and the right to opt out of certain processing. CapRateCity itself collects very little personal data directly; most personal data on the site is collected by our analytics and advertising partners, and you should also use those partners' opt-out tools (linked above). The CapRateCity Chrome extension has its own privacy policy at /extension/privacy. The extension is designed to run entirely in your browser, does not collect personally identifiable information, and does not transmit listing data back to our servers.
We use reasonable measures to operate this website securely, but no website or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Use the site at your own risk.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance.
